My MUSE | Hannah Barrett

Hello everyone,
Michele here, and I’m excited to introduce this week’s My MUSE: the talented, down-to-earth, and beautiful (inside and out!) Hannah Barrett.
Hannah’s career journey has been unique and showcases her ability to pivot and adapt. She began in tax accounting, earning her chartered accountancy at PwC, before discovering her passion for digital marketing. She transitioned into this field, starting her own consultancy, while also building a personal Instagram following of over 100k.
These days, Hannah’s career has evolved once again. She now balances her role as an independent director for Me Today, a New Zealand skincare and supplement brand, with her most important job—being a mother to two young girls. Her ability to manage both family and career speaks to her hardworking nature and deep dedication to her loved ones.
Alongside her husband, All Black star Beauden Barrett, Hannah has learned to navigate the public eye with authenticity and a clear sense of what she’s comfortable sharing. While she keeps much of her personal life private, she’s always open about her passions for fitness, fashion, and the things that bring her joy.
I sat down with Hannah to chat about her career, motherhood, and how she defines her personal style.
You’ve had such a varied and interesting career so far – can you tell us a bit about it?
I started out as a tax accountant at PwC, I worked there for 4 years and gained my chartered accountancy. Then I decided to have a complete career change and start a digital marketing consultancy business, now I work for myself doing social media marketing as well as being a mum to two little girls. I am also an independent director for a New Zealand skincare and supplement business, Me Today.
Being married to a public figure and having a large online following means much of your life (and motherhood journey) has been in the public eye. How do you navigate the public interest in your lives?
To be honest, I don't find the public interest to be too intense. People in New Zealand are quite relaxed and I like to have boundaries with what I am willing to share online. I don't share too much about our family/private life and I try to keep my social media focused on fashion, fitness and generally quite light hearted.
As a mum of two beautiful little girls, what’s your favourite part of motherhood?
I love seeing the world through their eyes, discovering new things, learning new skills and best of all hearing them laugh.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is so varied, somedays I am with the kids painting at Playcentre or having a picnic in the park and others I am in board meetings, at PR events or shooting content. A few constants in my week are moving my body whether it be hot pilates, a gym class or a dog walk and eating dinner together as a family.
How would you describe your personal style, and how has it evolved over time?
I have always gravitated towards bright colours and sequins but I also like to dress comfortably, if I don't feel 100% confident and comfortable - I won't wear it. Most of the time I'm a jeans and a nice top kind of girl.
What helps you decide what to wear in the morning? Is there a styling tip you always rely on?
I dress depending on what I have on each day, usually I will plan my outfits the night before as I find it too overwhelming to pick an outfit in the mornings with the usual chaos in our house!
What is on your current MUSE wishlist?
Where do I start! I love the Rabanne jeans (they are the most perfect fit), some white Tibi Sid jeans and the Magda Butrym black sequinned dress (A girl can dream!).
